This album was written and recorded whilst in lockdown during the covid-19 crisis. I have tried to keep a positive frame of mind and remain largely optimistic in these difficult times, and have dealt with the situation through music. One positive aspect of the situation for me is that I have a lot more time to produce music and have been very productive with several potential albums on the way, each with a slightly different feel and instrumental palette. With this album, I wanted the music to be intimate and to sound like it was recorded at home and focused on a warm sounding upright piano with tape saturated electronics and field recordings.

it's difficult to know where to start describing how much this album impacted me on the first listen. it's immediately a feeling of beautiful melancholic drifts and lulls; romantic textures sweep over you almost taking your breath away.
